C5 Mission

OUR MISSION

The mission of the C5 Youth Program is to inspire high-potential youth from under-resourced communities to pursue personal success, to prepare them for leadership roles in college, work and community, and to motivate them to become role models for others.

We do this by engaging middle and high school students from under-resourced communities in Georgia, Los Angeles, New England and Texas in five years of intensive leadership experiences including year-round development programs, signature summer activities, community service and preparation for continuing education and career development.

OUR HISTORY

The inception of the C5 Youth Foundation dates back to 1999, driven by the visionary leadership of John Alm, former CEO of Coca-Cola Enterprises. Inspired by the profound impact summer camps had on his own children's development—boosting their confidence, self-esteem, and interpersonal skills—John embarked on a mission to extend such opportunities to under-resourced youth in Los Angeles area.

What initially began as a summer camp for 36 teens  that first summer has since blossomed into a nationwide endeavor spanning five years. Today, the C5 Youth Foundation has four locations around the country including Georgia, Los Angeles, New England, and Texas, impacting more than 1,000 young people annually and fostering a legacy of leadership, resilience, and empowerment among them nationwide.
